Central Serous Retinopathy is linked to stress and may blur your vision. Visit Gupta Eye Hospital, Panipat for advanced retina treatment and guidance.
Central Serous Retinopathy (CSR) is a vision-threatening condition that affects the retina, especially in young to middle-aged adults. It’s often linked to stress and high levels of cortisol, the body’s stress hormone. At Gupta Eye Hospital, Panipat, we regularly diagnose and treat CSR with advanced retina care.
CSR occurs when fluid builds up under the retina, forming a small bubble that distorts vision. This happens due to leakage from the layer beneath the retina (the choroid).
Symptoms usually affect one eye but can occur in both.
High stress triggers excess cortisol, which weakens blood vessels in the retina, leading to fluid leakage. Use of steroids, poor sleep, and anxiety also increase your risk.
Most cases resolve on their own, but early detection is key to protecting your vision.
